Tan Tao-Liang was a Taiwanese martial arts actor, filmmaker, and coach. He was born on January 22, 1944, in Taiwan. Tao-Liang started training in the martial arts from the age of 18, and his favorite style was Hsing-I. In 1971, he made his screen debut in the movie "The Chinese Boxer," which became a massive international success. He then appeared in numerous martial arts films, including "The Iron Crane," "The Four Real Friends," "White Bellied Thief," "The Deadly Strike," and "The Dragon Tamers." He was known for his exceptional fighting skills and acrobatic abilities. Tao-Liang also worked as a fight choreographer and coach, and he trained many notable actors and stunt performers in Taiwan. He passed away on October 26, 2021, at the age of 77.
